This is only perhaps 30 minutes north of where I live, and a 1.3 mile hiking trip to walk from one end to the other.

Dafaq man you came out to Watkins Glen and didn't stop over to see me in Ithaca?

I see how it is. (but srly tho, Shippo has a road named after his family out there)

Hey I've been meaning to get over to Ithaca to bug you. Straight up state route 13, I think it was 45 minutes away? Just gotta figure out when and where, I don't go to Ithaca very often other than when checking stores for items not available where I'm at or when going up to Cornell for research or events.

Sometime this summer I might pass through Ithaca on my way to Taughannock falls to hike with Kayana. We usually go there later in the summer, mid-late august when the lake is warm enough to swim in.

Yeah, and we're even right off 13, when you get to the Ithaca part of it, you get off right before it heads into town, go up a hill and then you're at our place lol. What kind of research you do at Cornell? It'd be funny if you ran into Shippo there.

That's cool, if you did stop by we'd have to figure something to do, not a whole lot around here besides the falls and this little trail by our place though.

Nothing current unfortunately.

Up until a few years ago though I would help with performing hearing testing on puppies. One of the professors there figured out a system that allowed him to categorize the frequency response range of each of a dog's ears, and applied that capability to a system that made it possible to determine if a puppy was deaf in one or both ears.

Mom and I would put the puppies born on the farm into a basket and bring them up there to be tested, using the results as a factor in selecting breeding stock for the next generation in the hopes of reducing how often deaf puppies were born.

I've also visited their open house a few times, having considered becoming a student there myself almost 10 years ago now, and have done a few engineering seminars involving electronics and fiber optics.

Stepped on the scale yesterday and apparently I've lost 15 pounds since February, even though I've barely changed my eating or exercise habits
