On a side note, new girlfriend.....been staying at her place for the past week....I have learned two things....I love authentic Mexican food. And I I don't like getting yelled at in Spanish. I don't care if it is bad or good things being said. That is an overly expensive fix. A new pump is over $200, plus labor etc etc. Fortunately I was able to secure one from the local junkyard for $40. If it is any good I should be back in business tonight. If not, well ah crap. |

RE: Spam Thread
I only buy parts from scrapped cars, so that is why I said it was not an expensive fix.

RE: Spam Thread
Depends on the part. Stuff that usually doesn't go bad in the first place I'll try to get from the scrapyard if possible- things like body panels, radiators, headlight reflectors etc.
Components that are known to wear out I usually buy new or at least remanufactured when I can afford to. Reduces the risk of having it fail again in the not so distant future. This was one where the new part was horribly expensive, so a used one would have to do the job. |

RE: Spam Thread
Discussing abstract or technical ideas with someone who refuses to use anything but txt-speak is... painful, to say the least. I just did this in IRC for an hour. It is comparable to talking to someone who uses Newspeak from the novel 1984.
Why are people still doing this when everything basically has a full keyboard now? It feels like trying to communicate with a caveman. r thy not getn enuf scools? http://mrcl-daedalus.deviantart.com/ https://sushigirl.us/ |

RE: Spam Thread
Bad typing habits.
Instead of learning a proper keyboard and good habits in using it, they learned the shorthand phonespeak and insist on typing that way even on a normal keyboard because it is "faster" even though the querty keyboard was designed over 100 years ago to allow typists to proceed smoothly without jamming up the mechanical systems of the time. |

RE: Spam Thread
Quit my job today. Boss has treated me like shit since I started back in January, and the had the nerve to ask me to stay because I'm "such a good worker and she needs me." Then, while talking to another employee, I found out one of the new girls (she's been there for a month) just got a raise. I haven't gotten once yet. Fucking bullshit. Tomorrow is my last day, thank heavens.
